Many Builder's are seeing less opportunity in Larger Homes. With all the changes taking place these days, Builders are retooling their floor plans and building smaller homes. The buzz around town is "Condo Living". The home is generally smaller and more economical because you are paying less in most cases for the home and not the land. This is also a "Green Lifestyle" because you are sharing walls with your neighbors, taking up less space, using less building materials and sharing a common area. The convenient Lifestyle of a condo and the lack of responsibility can give piece of mind to most people. Many Buyers see condo living as an attractive option to mainenance free living.
